Helping hardworking families find their money

The Dime Daily was built on a simple belief: the people who need help the most shouldn't have to be experts to find it.

The Dime says…

Plain English. Real numbers. Honest picks — including when the verdict is 'skip it.' That's the whole deal.

Who we are

The Dime Daily is a personal-finance editorial team helping everyday Americans uncover money they're owed and keep more of what they earn — in plain English with zero jargon. Our voice is the Dime: a friendly, no-nonsense guide who treats you like a smart adult, not a customer to be upsold.

We research and publish guides on credit cards, banking, credit scores, saving money, and financial calculators. Our goal is simple: give you the most useful, honest answer as fast as possible.

Our mission

Every year, billions of dollars in benefits, tax credits, and assistance go unclaimed — not because people don't qualify, but because the system is confusing and the good information is buried under sales pitches. We're here to change that.

The Dime Daily gathers the most useful, legitimate ways for everyday families to save money and improve their financial footing, then explains them in language anyone can understand. From high-yield savings accounts and credit card rewards to credit rebuilding and debt payoff plans, we point you toward help that actually exists.

Who we serve

We built this for the people too often left out of mainstream financial advice: families living paycheck to paycheck, people with fair or poor credit, anyone who has ever been told they don't qualify or talked down to for asking. You deserve clear answers and real options, and that's exactly what we provide — free of charge.

How we stay free

Our guides and resources are completely free to you. When we connect you with a relevant offer or service that fits your needs, we may be compensated by that provider. That's how we keep the lights on — and it means our incentive is to match you with things that genuinely help, not to charge you. We are transparent about this on every comparison and "best of" page.

People first

We exist to help families keep more of what they earn. If something doesn't genuinely help you, it doesn't belong here.

No scams, ever

Our audience is too often targeted by predatory offers. We cut through the noise with honest, plain-English information.

Built for real life

Whether your credit is rough or your hours got cut, our resources meet you where you are, with no judgment.

Editorial standards

Every piece of content on The Dime Daily is produced by our editorial team under the following guidelines. We believe you deserve to know how we work.

Research-first content

Every article, guide, and comparison is built from primary sources — government data, issuer terms, CFPB reports, and bureau studies. We cite our sources so you can verify.

Regularly reviewed and updated

Rates change. Laws change. Products get discontinued. We review our content on a rolling basis and mark every page with a 'Last updated' date so you always know how fresh the information is.

Transparent about how we make money

We earn commissions from some partners when you click through and apply. This never affects our ratings — our editorial team scores products independently before any commercial relationship is established.

How we evaluate financial products

Our editorial team researches and ranks financial products using a consistent scoring methodology — the Dime Score, rated out of 10. For credit cards, we evaluate rewards rates, annual fee value, sign-up bonus requirements, and real-world usability. For savings accounts and CDs, we compare APY, fee structures, minimum balances, and FDIC/NCUA insurance status. For credit score guides, we rely on data from FICO, the three major bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion), and the CFPB.

Independence from advertisers: Products are scored before any commercial relationship with an issuer or provider is established. A card that pays us a higher commission does not receive a higher Dime Score. Advertisers may not review or approve content before publication, and they may not pay to change a rating or ranking.

Affiliate commissions: Some links on "best of" and comparison pages are affiliate links — we may earn a commission if you apply and are approved. This is disclosed clearly at the top of every such page. Commissions do not influence our product rankings.

Accuracy and updates: We review our content on a rolling basis. Every page displays a "Last updated" date in the byline. If you find outdated information, please contact us.

Advertising & affiliate disclosure

The Dime Daily is reader-supported. When you click certain links on comparison and "best of" pages and are approved for a product, we may earn a commission from our partner at no extra cost to you. These commissions help us maintain free, ad-light content. Our editorial team's ratings and rankings are always determined independently, prior to and without influence from any commercial relationship.
